Located on a small ranch just north of Victoria, Texas, we are a family that loves our animals.  Besides these wonderful little critters called Cavies, we also have horses, cattle, chicken, quial, dogs and numerous cats.  In 2002 I began home schooling our children and full time with all three in 2003.  As a family we also love to compete in the horse world as well as raise a few nice foals now and then.  There is usually a training project going on with one of our several horses and ponies.  Our passion of guinea pigs started when we gave our oldest a pet store American pig for her birthday in 2002.  We played around with raising a couple of pet piggies after purchasing an Abby mix sow in 2002 also.  In early 2003 we purchased our daughter her first silkie show pig named FFF's Hershey's Hugs and soon after a beautiful American sow named Caboodle's Prayer.  Both proved to be the spring board into what is now a very large herd.  Each of our children now have their own personal cavies they are in charge of managing.  They have learned to match breedings, evaluate show prospects, grooming care, financial recordings, feeding, health care, and the all important task of cleaning cages.  Color genetics of our cavies is always a discussion of interest.  We are learning as we go!  And when show times comes around, our children are the first to be begging to go.  We have met so many wonderful people in this fancy with one of the best mentors a person could ask for in Lisa Smith of Cavy Caboodle.  We now hold memberships in American Rabbit Breeders Association, American Cavy Breeders Association, the Lone Star Cavy Club and the Texas Rabbit Breeders Association.

Cowgirl Caviary is a registered caviary with the American Cavy Breeders Association.
